I don’t know my body shape. Is this guide for me?
The guide has no page for finding your body shape: it assumes you know which of the five is yours (inverted triangle, rectangle, hourglass, apple or pear). Each chapter opens with Lisa’s description of the shape, and all five chapters are in the same PDF, so you can read the ones that sound like you. And Lisa’s point stands: how you feel matters more than any recommendation.
What’s in the body shape guide?
5 chapters, one per body shape (inverted triangle, rectangle, hourglass, apple, pear). Each one has an opener page, Lisa’s general advice, then 13 clothing categories (sleeves, dresses, jackets, skirts, tops, necklines, jeans, pants, coats, jumpsuits, shorts, sweaters, belts), one page each. Every example comes with a photo, and every clothing page has a cut to avoid. 78 pages in all.
How do I get the guide?
By email, as a PDF, after you check out.
What format is it, and can I print it?
It’s a 78-page PDF with A5-size pages (about 5.8 × 8.3 inches), easy to read on a phone. You can print it at home too.
What should I wear for my body shape?
There’s no single answer: it depends on your body shape and on what you like to wear. The guide gives you Lisa’s reference points for each of the five shapes, with cuts to wear and one to avoid in every clothing category. Her general idea is to create balance between the upper body and the lower body, set off by the waist. And she adds that what matters most is how you feel: wear clothes you feel good in, even if they don’t always follow the recommendations.
Is the body shape guide an ebook or a printed book?
It’s an ebook in PDF format: you keep it on your phone or your computer. It’s sold as a PDF only, with no printed copy.
How is it different from the guides by sub-season?
The guides by sub-season are about color: your palette, your capsule wardrobe, your makeup. The body shape guide is about cuts: which shapes of clothes bring out your silhouette. The two go together.
Is this an analysis of my own body?
No. The guide gives reference points for each of the five body shapes, not an analysis of your own silhouette. And Lisa says it herself: wear clothes you feel good in, even if they don’t follow these recommendations.
